Bertha Lee “Bert” Massey, 76, of Peru, passed away at 4:15 A.M., Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Dayton, OH on September 9, 1941 the daughter of Claire and Pearl Skaggs Jones. Bert married Paul Ginter in 1959, in Dayton, OH, then Bob Brimbury in 1967 in Dayton, OH and he preceded her in death in 1975, she married Bill Massey in Veedersburg, IN in 1976 and he preceded her in death in 1985. Bert was a graduate of Stivers High School and a retired Chief of Purchasing for the Veterans Administration. She is survived by sons Steve Ginter and his wife Kathy of Veedersburg, IN, Mike Ginter and his wife Jackie of Talmadge, OH, David Massey of Biloxi, MS, Rob Brimbury and his wife Andrea of Muncie, IN and Chuck Brimbury and his wife Michelle of Peru; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, Claire and Pearl Jones, husbands Paul Ginter, Bob Brimbury and Bill Massey and brothers Marvin Moore, Gene Moore and Harold Moore. Visitation for Bertha Lee Massey will be on Saturday, December 9, 2017, from Noon to 4:00 P.M., at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, Peru. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Sunday at the Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg, IN with a family friend, Bill Boone officiating. Family and friends will gather at Chuck and Michelle’s home after 5:00 P.M. on Saturday and after 12 Noon on Sunday at Steve and Kathy’s house, 608 N. Newlind St. in Veedersburg.
