Barbara Lou Thorn, 81, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at 3:00 a.m. at her residence.
Mrs. Thorn was born July 25, 1935, in Fort Wayne, IN, to Rollo and Nettie (Simon) Kissinger. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Thorn was a cashier for 21 years at Owens/Kroger South Store in Huntington. She was a member of St. Peter’s First Community Church, Huntington, IN.
Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Thorn, Superior, CO; three daughters, Pam Tom, Warsaw, IN, Rachelle (David) Worman, Wolcottville, IN, and Natalie (Brian) Parker, Huntington, IN. She is also survived by one sister, Elizabeth Robertson, Columbia City, IN; 9 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard Kissinger and Rollo Kissinger.
To honor the wishes of the family there will be no viewing or services.
A private burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
