Barbara E. Larkin, age 85, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Alexander M. Larkin; devoted mother of the late Robert Larkin, Joanna (Steve) Schwartz, David (Cathy) Larkin; and devoted step-mother of Charles (Lorraine) Larkin, Msgr. Alexander Larkin, the late Alfred (Rosemary) Larkin, and Edward (Jo) Larkin; grandmother of Robert (Janet) Larkin, Jennifer (Brent) Timmons, Rick (Caitlin) Schwartz, Bernadette (Thales) Oliveira, Jeanette Larkin, Elliott Papas, Michael Larkin, Carmen Bell, Sally Mueller, Eric Larkin, Janet Kielak, and Samantha Provine; and proud great-grandmother of many.
She was predeceased by her mother, Viola (Johnson) Newman; father, Siegel Thompson; sister, Dixie; and brothers, Paul and Dick.
Barbara was the Office Manager of ASH Equipment Company in South San Francisco for many years and was an avid reader.
Family and friends may visit from 4-5 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN. Services will begin at 5 p.m. with Pastor Mark Atkinson officiating.
