Barbara C. Korporal, 82, of Van Buren, IN, passed away at 9:40 PM on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN. She was born on Saturday, July 14, 1934, in Grant County, IN. She married Merritt Korporal on Sunday, April 17, 1955 in Grant County, IN; together the two of them just celebrated their 62nd year of marriage. Barbara was a graduate of Marion High School. She formerly worked at Dennison’s Market, Dairy-O Grocery and Randy’s Appliance.
Survivors include: Husband – Merritt Korporal, Van Buren, IN, Son – Pete (Diana) Korporal, Van Buren, IN, Son – Frank Korporal, Gas City, IN, Daughter – Peggy (Leonard) Hensley, Losantville, IN, Brothers – Gerald (Joyce) Rudicel, Jr., Marion, IN, Ronald (Becky) Rudicel, Marion, IN, Larry Rudicel, Marion, IN, Grandchildren – Eric Korporal, Van Buren, IN, Angie Cochran, Mathiston, MS, Summer Greenlee, Anderson, IN and 8 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her: Father – Gerald Rudicel, Sr., Mother – Doris Alred Rudicel and Brother – Charles Rudicel.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home 201 N Main Street Van Buren on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 28, 2017 with Rev. Howard Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in the Van Buren Cemetery in Van Buren.
