Arzena Jane Goens, 73, Marion, went to be with the Lord in her home at 11:10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. She was born in Breckenridge County, Kentucky, to the late Slaughter and Exebee Goodman. Arzena married James Goens, and he preceded her in death on October 4, 2003.
Arzena worked at Tulox Plastics in Marion for 20 years, where she was an operator. She had previously been employed with Vogel Donuts. She loved attending Lighthouse Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and animals.
She is survived by her daughter, Annette Phillips, Fort Wayne; son, Tim (Marie) Phillips, Warren; grandchildren, Ryan Lyons, Marion, Jared Phillips, Marion, and Lindsay Phillips, Alabama; and sisters, Pauline Burnette and Cathy Kiper.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Nancy Smith and Agnes Phillips, and brother, Ernest Goodman.
Visitation for Arzena will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with her funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Pastor Ron Hon will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
