Arvee Smith, 72, Marion, died in his home at 10:35 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018. He was born on November 23, 1945, in Arkansas to Mark and Lizzie Hamlet and worked at General Motors.
He is survived by his children, Regina (Neil Campbell) McCool, South Carolina, Alando Smith, Ohio, Brandon Smith, North Carolina, and Evan Smith, Marion; siblings, Mark (Betty) Hamlet, Vergie Hamlet, Levolia (Patrick Franklin) Hamlet, Fred (Stephanie) Hamlet, Clarence Hamlet, and Louis Hamlet; great-niece, Zoey Collins; and grandchildren, Devan Bounds and Alfred Walker, II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, David Wise.
A memorial service for Arvee will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 3225 S. Washington St., Marion, IN.
