Arlie P. Caudill, 88, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his home.  He was born May 30, 1927 in Harlan County, Kentucky to P.W. and Donie (Wells) Caudill.

Arlie married Ruth Powell in Clintwood, Virginia on May 30, 1951.  He was a WWII US Navy veteran. He retired from GenCorp in Marion in 1989 after 23 years, and also worked as a coal miner.    He was affiliated with the Grand Street Baptist Church.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, and was a master of all trades.  He also loved his 4-paw family.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Caudill of Wabash, five children, Jeannie (Sterl) Stamper, Shelia (Corky) Ross, and Joyce (Mike) Fisher, all of Wabash, Marsha (Jim) Baumgartner of Roann,  Rick (Felicia) Caudill of Denver, Indiana, two sisters, Alma Wenzel of Red Wing, Minnesota, and Rosie Gadd of Alexander, Kentucky, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, six sisters, and his great great granddaughter Lahna Joy Lutz, who died February 9, 2015.

Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Prater and Pete Powell officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash with Rev. John Denniston officiating.  Friends may call 4-7pm Friday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Wabash County Animal Shelter.
