Ann L. Thorn, age 78, of Huntington, passed away Thursday February 16, 2017 at 12:45 am at Parkview Randallia Hospital. She had worked at Dana Corp., Andrews, and was a member of the National Affiliation of the Good Shepherd Church. Her children were her crown jewels and her grandchildren the light of her life.
Ann was born October 22, 1938, in Tallahassee, FL, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Green. On April 30, 1960, she married her beloved husband Willard James Thorn Sr and he preceded her in death on November 28, 2007. She is survived by 9 children James Thorn Jr. of San Diego, CA, Susan Zachariasen of Logan, Utah, Julie Ann (David) Thorn Metzler of Huntington, Nina Lou (Ernie) Thorn Kiefer of Huntington, Matthew Nathan (Patti) Thorn of Glen Arm, MD, Nolan (Tiffany) Thorn of Kokomo, Joellen Thorn of Huntington, Logan Zane (Korsinda) Thorn of Huntington, and Clayton Andrew (Julie) Thorn of Chicago, IL, 28 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
There will be a Memorial Gathering Sunday, February 19, from 2-3 pm at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel. A Celebration of Life Ceremony for both James and Ann will be held near Buckeye Lake, Ohio, over Memorial Day weekend.
