Amy L. Turner, 101, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 3:00 am Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Brookdale Senior Living Center in Marion, Indiana.  Amy was born in Fort Collins, Colorado on February 24, 1916, and graduated from Colorado State University in 1939.  It was there that she met the love of her life, Dr. Nathan Turner.  They moved to Wabash in 1941, when Nathan opened his veterinary practice.  Amy was very involved with family activities, as well as the local Wabash community.  She was an avid bridge player, was a sponsor in the Big Brothers-Big Sisters Program, and a member of the Wabash Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years.  All who knew her treasured her warm, caring, and sweet nature.

She is survived by her son Craig L. (Cynda) Turner of Muncie, Indiana, daughter Linda C. (Skip) McCarthy of Marion, Indiana; five grandsons, two granddaughters, and seventeen great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Nathan Turner, daughter Diane Abbott, and grandsons David Turner and Matt Abbott.

There will be visitation at the Wabash Presbyterian Church, 123 W. Hill Street from 2-5 pm Sunday, March 12, 2017.  Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
