Amelia was born in London, England, on November 14, 1923 to the late Frank and Amelia Van Hestern. She passed away on January 21, 2017 in Indiana Wesleyan Nursing Home, Marion, Indiana.
Amelia graduated from high school in England and in 1943 she married James Kennard, who precedes her in death. She worked for a glass company in Terre Haute. In her free time she enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, crocheting and watching television.
She is survived by her daughter, Pauline (Robert) Mallery; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Amelia is also preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Kay Burkhart.
