Alonzo “Zo” Craig Hill, 27, Marion, died at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016, in his home. He was born in Marion, IN, to Daniel S. and Petina C. (Applewhite) Hill.
Zo was a 2006 graduate of Marion High School. He worked for Chrysler and previously at Advanced Auto in Marion and Habitat for Humanity. He attended Christ Temple Church.
Zo played high school football and competed in the shotput event in track and field. He was an avid gamer and loved playing his PS3 and Xbox One. Above all, Zo cherished the time he spent with friends, and he will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, Zo is survived by his siblings, Damarcus I.C. (Angenique) Hill, Marion, and Christopher L. (Jessica) Hill, Charleston, SC; nephews, Bruce, Bryce, Marcellus, and Angelo; paternal grandmother, Cora M. (late William) Hill, Gary; maternal grandparents, James A. Applewhite, Paducah, KY, and Ruby A. (Leroy) Dodson, Marion; godfather, James Applewhite, II; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Zo was preceded in death by his dog, Myles.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Christ Temple Church, 1401 S. Adams St., Marion, IN. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon with Rev. David H. Birchett officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park in Marion.
