Allen was born January 24, 1944 in Marion, Indiana one of 9 children and was the son of the late Earl and Lillian (Piner) Rodman.
He had a big smile, a hardy laugh and was always happy. He enjoyed playing games and cards. Allen, who retired to Indiana after 24 years in Florida, was a member of Grace Community Church, Marion, IN and was an avid NASCAR fan. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Allen attended Jefferson Township High School, Upland, and was formerly employed with Wayne Metals in Markle, IN.
He is survived by siblings, Mary Alice Shutt, Evansville, IN, Jim (Sue) Rodman, Sturgis, MI Wayne and Donald Rodman both of Marion, IN; sister-in-law, Doris Rodman, Gas City, IN; Nephews and Nieces, Rick Shutt, John Shutt, Jim Rodman, Scott Rodman, Rob Rodman, Joy Williams, Jeff Rodman, Ronda Jones, and Ben Rodman; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John, Gene and Dane Rodman, and a sister, Nellie Smith.

Visitation will be from 12-2 pm, Saturday, May 27, 2017, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm, at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, Jones-Smith Chapel, 259 N. Main St., Upland, IN, 46989.
Arrangements are entrusted Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Jones-Smith Chapel.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, FL.
