Advice

Think About It. Advice. There are those who make resolutions about this time of year only to lose resolve in fairly short order. Maybe you jumped too soon. When I was young, the marsh behind the Weaver home was a good source of tasty frog legs, adorned by talented sister Lee with water cress from the creek. The frogs you see didn’t jump soon enough for their survival. In spite of that obvious flaw in their judgment, frogs became a favorite friend of mine, a fact that daughter Laura Lee has never forgotten. Some years ago she gifted me with one of the truly great books, It’s Not Easy Being Green, which includes many words of wisdom from Kermit and friends. More recently she proffered a handled container that is truly my “cup of tea”, with title Advice from a FROG. The first thought is Hop to it! So I shall.

Since I receive no financial gain from this endeavor and see no copyright emblazoned on the cup, I will proceed to present the FROG’s thoughts for your consideration.

Make a splash

Look before you leap

Don’t jump to conclusions

Enjoy a good swim

Stretch your legs often

Spend time at your pad

For a great way to start your day or year you would be wise to get more good words to help plan for a future that will make for a better world. There’s advice from a Tree, an Eagle, a Mountain, a Moose, even a Butterfly. No kidding. Go along with me this time. Try YourTrueNature.com.

On the subject of being green, the great Ray Charles commented that “…..we should learn to love who we are and be proud of it.” Kermit’s conclusion is “Life is like a movie, write your own ending.” Since I can’t improve on these ways to improve the planet, my life or especially yours, my thought is to resolve to follow these other sages’, good Advice. Think About It.
