Adelard Henri “Al” Fluette, 74, of Peru passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 at 7:54 AM, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN.  Al was born in Woonsocket, RI on July 12, 1941, the son of Leo A. and Alice Proulx Fluette.

Adelard joined the United States Airforce and after leaving in 1967 he went to work in Tool and Dye at United Technology here in Peru.  Al was a pilot in the Airforce and enjoyed flying Cessna’s. He loved fishing and camping.  He was known for building model airplanes and flying them everywhere.  He enjoyed coin collecting and restoring older vehicles.

Al is survived by his children Leo Fluette, Peru, IN, Gerald Fluette and his wife Gina, Peru, IN, Michelle LeBlanc and her fiancé Robert Buettner of Odenton, MD, a step-daughter Kelly M. Clingaman, Peru, IN; sisters Rita Pristawa and her husband Walter, Woonsocket, RI, Pauline Atteridge and her husband Robert, Lake Wales, FL, a grandson 2nd Lieutenant Alexander C. LeBlanc and also Vicky C. Fluette.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Doris LeBlanc, a brother Robert Fluette and his fiancé Sandy K. Clingaman.

Services celebrating the life of Adelard Henri “Al” Fluette will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, IN with Father Adam Mauman officiating.  Burial will be at the Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E. 38th Street, Marion, IN with Military Rites provided by the Miami County Military Rites Unit.  Family and friends will gather from 4:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.  ASPCA
