Aaron Wayne Cullum, 74, of Marion, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017. He was at home with family by his side. He was born on July 21, 1942 in Bee Branch, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Isaac Aaron and Loument (Hammitt) Cullum. Aaron graduated from Swayzee High School in 1959 and lived in Grant County since the early 1950’s. He worked at Thomson Consumer Electronics for 40 years. He was an avid baseball fan who loved the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago Cubs. Aaron loved to play golf and going to brunch with the Kirby Clan on Wednesday’s who in many ways became an adopted family. He was a member of Grant Lodge #637 in Swayzee and the Swayzee Chapter #345 Order of Eastern Star where he served as Worthy Patrons numerous times as well as other offices.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Kay (Bethay) Cullum, Marion; sons, Marc (Jamie) Cullum, Marion and Christopher (Katy) Cullum, Poulsbo, WA; Granddaughters, Aaryn, Evan, and Maura Cullum, Poulsbo, WA; Brothers, Thomas (Kay) Winningham, Gas City and Gary Cullum, Logansport; In-Laws, Kenton Bethay, Marion, Jay Ault, South Carolina, and Ted (Carol) Trumbauer, Greenwood; and many nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, preceeding him in death were an infant brother, Duane Cullum; sister Marion Martin; in-laws Rev. and Mrs. Paul Trumbauer; and brothers-in-law Pet Bethay and Jon Bethay.

Arrangements are being handled by the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 4601 S. Western Avenue, Marion, where the family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. There will be Masonic Services at 7 p.m. and Eastern Star services at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, with Pastor Eric Bingman and Chaplain Joel Flowers officiating and Rhonda Maggard playing the keyboard.
