Madeline (Tamplin) Andrea-Glenn, 87, Marion, died Tuesday morning, September 20, 2016, in her home. She was born November 2, 1928, to Roy and Ida (Brown) Tamplin in Dayton, Ohio. She married Maurice Andrea on July 26, 1958, and he preceded her in death on June 17, 2006. She married Don Glenn on July 18, 2015.

Madeline came to Marion in 1951 to attend Marion College (Indiana Wesleyan University). She received a B.A. degree in 1955 and a Masters Degree from Ball State University. Her first teaching position was at Greentown Junior High School. She finished her teaching career at Oak Hill High School in 1991.

Madeline was a member of College Wesleyan Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, Indiana State Retired Teachers Association, and Grant County Retired Teachers Association. She served on the Marion General Hospital Auxiliary Board and volunteered at the hospital for many years.

Those surviving Madeline include her husband, Don; son, Greg (Sheila) Andrea, Peoria, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Blanca, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle, Logan, Blake, and Molly; adopted daughter, Sharalyn (Mark) Hyman and family; step-daughter, Pam (Todd) Giles, Virginia; step-son, Scott, Gas City; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Maurice, Madeline was preceded in death by her son, Tim; parents; three brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Additional visitation will take place from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 at College Wesleyan Church, 200 E. 38th St., Marion, IN. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Steve DeNeff and Rev. Alex Mandura officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
